How it works

From phone call to compliant — in four steps.

Tell us your address, occupancy type, and roughly how many extinguishers are on site. Most quotes go out the same day.

  2. 2

    On-site inspection

We visit your property, inspect every unit per NFPA 10, and identify any units due for recharge, hydro test, or replacement.

  3. 3

Compliant units get a fresh dated tag. Anything needing service is handled on the spot or scheduled — your call.

  4. 4

    Documentation & reminders

You get a written report and a reminder before next year's inspection. You stay compliant without thinking about it.

FAQ

Common questions, answered.

How often do fire extinguishers need to be inspected?

NFPA 10 requires a quick monthly visual check by the property owner and a thorough annual inspection performed by a certified inspector. Internal maintenance is required at 1, 6, and 12-year intervals depending on extinguisher type.

Is fire extinguisher inspection required by law in Nassau County?

Yes. New York State Fire Code adopts NFPA 10, which mandates annual inspection and tagging of all commercial fire extinguishers. Failing to keep extinguishers current can result in fines, failed fire-marshal inspections, and voided insurance claims.

What is hydrostatic testing and when is it required?

Hydrostatic testing is a pressure test of the extinguisher cylinder performed every 5 or 12 years (depending on type) to confirm the shell can safely hold pressure. It's required by NFPA 10 and is one of the most commonly missed compliance items.

What types of extinguishers do I actually need?

It depends on the hazards in your space. Most offices and retail need ABC dry chemical. Commercial kitchens need Class K for cooking oils. Server rooms and electrical areas often want CO₂ to avoid residue. We'll spec it for you on the inspection visit.

How quickly can you come out?

Most Nassau County jobs are scheduled within the same week. If you have a fire-marshal visit or insurance deadline, tell us — we prioritize urgent compliance.

Do you service single locations or whole portfolios?

Both. Whether it's one storefront or twenty buildings, we handle scheduling, on-site service, tagging, and a single consolidated invoice.
